Abusing the muting in the game

I have noticed recently that the muting has got out of hand. I enjoy chatting with all of you, but when the muting starts unecessarily (poor Surwidow, et al) then it gets to be too much drama. Muting is so highschool days isn't it? Can't we all just get along?

Hi bonusers!!!!!

We have had some issues with blocking, so I thought I would raise it here. Surfwidow got blocked because she and I were joking around with it, and others thought there must have been a good reason to block her (without knowing what it was) and blocked her. From what I understand, greedscaller was being a little boisterous yesterday and got jammed up when he did something with his name, but it was basically the same thing.

So I write here just to implore everyone to use the block button responsibly. Your vote cannot be withdrawn, and it only takes 5 to get someone blocked for 24 hours. Individual disagreements can occur without jumping to block one or both. If you are not personally offended by the person's commentary, please do not block them.

That leads to my second issue. After the whole blowup with darlene, it is apparent that some people think that there are those of us who are controlling in the room. Since that was never my intention, I have decided to take more of a backseat role in watching what is going on in the room. It is not my responsibility to protect the younger patrons of the room, and although I will defend my friends (young or "more inexperienced") if I believe it is necessary, I do not intend to tell people how they should act. I encourage everyone to use diplomacy and judgment in their posts. My days of policing the room, however, are over.

I hope everyone takes this post as intended. I am not angry or bothered by any of this. I'm just goin' with the flow.

Hey all - finally got around to setting up an account on our nifty little blog here. So now I can make a nuisance of myself here as well as the solitaire site... ;-)

Just wanted to say that y'all are a pretty cool bunch of folks. I've been playing games on Fat-Free since there was only Poker and Lexicon (was actually in the top 4 of Lexicon back when people were just starting to get to 1 million points - check out the attached screen cap). I've seen folks come and go, but the best of the bunch seems to have stuck around and makes it a nice place to hang out for a relaxing game of solitaire and a bit of quick conversation.

Anyway, keep your eyes peeled for my amazing sub-5000 point scores (and please refrain from embarrassing me further by saying Nice Deck... hehe...).

Memorial Day

I know there are people from all over the world on this blog, but I think Memorial Day should be celebrated everywhere. For almost every country has good troops to fight for them, and each and everyone of them should be remembered. There are many things a person can do on this sad day to remember the troops. I will be doing my part by reminding as many people as I can why we have this day off. Please remember all of out troops, the ones who have fought, the ones who are fighting, and the ones who will fight. I ask you to do one small thing, don't forget. Thank you.

Hello all. Well just to let everyone know , my twin boys were born on Sat. May 24, they are in NICU but are doing great for only being 30 weeks. They should only have to be in the hospital for a few weeks. i'll try and keep everyone updated!

Hey everyone, for the past few weeks, I was not the way I usually am, sop here is my reason for being this way. Some of you already know the reason, but i would like to tell everyone who doesn't know. the reason is because that i was having a really stressful time at school, and one day I was a bit testy and not cooportive to my friends, as I only wanted to have people use my way of fixing a problem, and not be told that its not right by someone else. this all started when for a quite few of people were having trouble getting the game to work. So I am here to say publiclly that I am sincerely sorry to all my friends and that it will never happen again. Thanks for your time

O here goes this might B a 2 part er. For those of u that don't know for the last 3weeks I've been working 10 to 11 hr days with only sun. off. Now i don't mind if that means that thing r getting done. Imagine having 1 GM & 3 RM's then 1 RM goes out on medical leave for 4weeks, k , then 2nd manager we'll call her M. decides that she only need to come in the door, sitting on her a**. after week 2 i got feed up,in typical dragon fashion, I spoke up n told her to get off her a** and do something. her response was " y ur here & will do it all anyway". now I've been @ my job 4yr+, dealing with this b**** since I started. Enough is enough so i said that if no one would take care of her i would. I called H.R and asked how many write ups were in my per. file. & was I still Transferable.
Well the last time they got a call like that i gave my resignation. all kinds of things started to happen.
She decided that she didn't want her job and told that DR. that she didn't know what the hell she was doing and she should go back 2 med school. Now I personally hate this DR. but respect is still needed i told her to apologize she said f**K off. I said get out till someone calls u back.
on her way out the door she told the GM that she wouldn't be able to do her job if sil wasn't here to take care of everything.
Well one of the tech. lets call her D is completely drain dead, sry no helping that one. decided to tell me that I'm always telling people what to do,and that I'm no one special.
Ill give u one guess what happened.
I FIRED HER ON THE SPOT, and was laughing the whole time.
Well today 5/19/08 every one really Loved me. hahaha
we got a visit from our AM, TD , VP, head of HR, and guess what when our TD got there he said that i could go out to lunch go home if i wanted. i said fine who am i to complain. As i am driving out of the parking lot my phone starts going crazy the office calling needing me to come back.
Now how happy do u think I am, arr.
i get in side all hells breaking loose VP grilling TD how didn't know he was coming, AM grilling GM, and DR saying that i could fix everything.
i told the girls to watch the front & lead everyone to the break room i introduce everyone to each other. them started asking y everyone decided to visit to day the answer to talk to me now bad day for that as i was already pissed.
HR wanted to know y i asked the questions that i did i said u could of called that would of been easier. we all got to talking and i asked how they planned to compensate us for all the hrs as 50-60 hrs is not in the job description.

Was told they would buy us lunch, now i know i should of keep my mouth shut but come on.
i said policy is to replace the days off that will be 5 they owe me ,
they said that i could not take all the days that were owed to me witch is 10 and my 3wks vacation. now talk about fired up.

Were supposed to talk tomorrow.

Any suggestion on what I should do.

Work Less. Play More Solitaire!

The new kitchen!!

As some of you have heard me complaining, I have been without a kitchen for about a month. Our dining room has served as a kitchen, pantry, dining area, storage unit and overall clutterbus. Well, the kitchen is now about 95% done, and some of you buds have asked for pics, so here you go.

Here's what we had...

We ripped out the laundry room and ran the kitchen into the family room, extending the hardwood floors between the two (and into the dining room to keep continuity).

Here is the 95% final result:

Finishing touches and bench seating in the eat-in are all that's left, but we're a working kitchen again!!!! WOOHOO!!!!

New week!

Welcome back everyone. Coming fresh off vacation, it was great hanging out with my pals all week. Of course the MOUNTAIN of mail on my desk reminds me that I was on vacation. I am proud to have joined the top 10 for the first (and probably last) time!! It almost caused me to pull an Urp and fall asleep on my phone, but I was able to stay awake long enough to work into 9th place.
