This really works I have downloaded to 2 of my own songs on my IPhone for free!!!
This may look like a lot to do but I am taking you step by step to do this. It is easy and quick to do. If you have any problems and can't find me just go to YouTube and search for Free iPhone Ringtones It will tell you there also.
1st you need to download 2 things and they are free to download.
1. Audacity web addy is http://audacity.sourceforge.net download 1.3 Beta
2.Prism web addy is http://nchsoftware.com/prism/index.html download prism and everything it wants to download during the download
now that you have those downloaded you need to
Open your ITunes.
Click on music so your music is showing.
Then right click on the song you want to make into a ringtone.
Click on show in windows explorer
Find your song
Open the Switch Plus that should have been downloaded with Prism
Drag your song into Switch
Now on the bottom of the Switch you will see output format
Click that and select .aiff
Now highlight your song and click convert
It only takes a few secs
Now your song should have a green check by it
Click on open
Open Audacity
Drag your song from the box you opened in switch to Audacity
Your song will now have .aiff on the end of it
You will now be able to chose any 30 secs of your song
When you get the section you want look up on the left side
You will see in little boxes scissors, 2 papers, clipboard and a wavy line
If you hover your mouse over the wavy line it will say trim Click that one
It should only have the part you selected showing now
Go up to file and click export
Save it in my music
You can tag your song if you want but you don't have to
Your song is in your music folder now open that
Drag your song from music to your music on ITunes
You will now see your song in your library music in ITunes and it should be 30 secs long
Right click on it and click on convert to acc format
You will now see another pop up under the other song in your Itunes
Right click on the new one and chose show in windows
You will see you song says m4a one the end
Duplicate this song in the same box
Right click on the file chose get info
The name of the file should be in the extension box rename the file to what you want and change the end to .m4r
Click ok and it will ask are you sure click yes
You should now see the correct file
Drag file to ITunes ringtones
You now have that as a ringtone
Just sync your phone and it will add it to your phone
I hope that everyone is able to do this and enjoys it like I am and Have fun doing this. Once you do it a few times it will take you no time at all to do this.
